We just learned of Helen's passing send our condolences to the family.She and Marcus were such true, faithful friends. WE are sad to have missed their services, because we didn't know & have lost our contacts in Nebraska. May the family and friends be comforted with the special memories they have, and knowledge that that they are together again in better circumstances than those circumstances left behind at this time.

Your cousin Jaen sends love. I remember Helen so well.She and Mark(the other Democrat) were patient with my childish antics. They made a beautiful home together and served as excellent roll models to me as well.
All the Holzenberg kids are gone now-very sad for me.
You have cousins in Norway who would love to meet you!

Aunt Helen was the last of her generation of our family. I carry with me memories of being in the kitchen at 1409 Ashland Ave as a very small child in a seas of knees and it was as likely I'd grab hers as my mother's. Didn't matter.. they were all the pathway to being picked up & hugged.

Aunt Helen always kept track of what news needed spreading through the family. Good news or bad, she'd light up the phone lines from Beatrice and pass along the information that kept the Holzenbergs "connected" even when geography spread them apart.

I treasured her calls, especially in recent years.. Her voice was so like my mother's! (Josephine)

I take comfort that they're all together again (She's got some catching up to do!)

My love goes out to all my cousins. I'll miss Aunt Helen.. -Jill

We will not be able to be at the funeral service for Helen as we are already committed for Saturday. We wish to express of condolences. We had many good times with Marcus and Helen over the years and do miss them.
