Richard Dean Ebeling

Richard D. Ebeling, 53, Waterville, KS, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at the Beatrice Health and Rehabilitation Center.  He was born October 11, 1961 at Fairbury, NE and raised in the Steele City Area.  He married Laurie Skanes on June 26, 1981 and they had 2 daughters, they later divorced.  He was a contractor doing home remodeling for many years before working for Landoll Manufacturing in Marysville, KS.  He moved to Waterville, KS where he has lived for the past 4 years. He was a hard-working man who had many projects he enjoyed working on.  He liked to garden and liked muscle cars especially his 1969 roadrunner. 

Richard is survived by his daughters, Melissa Bartels and husband Ryan of Middleton, ID, Brittany Brockhoff and husband Matthew of Lincoln, NE; siblings, Raymond Lee Ebeling of Fairbury, NE, Daniel Ebeling of Beatrice, NE, Dale Ebeling of Steele City, NE, Bruce Ebeling of Wymore, NE, Sharon Roberts of Wymore, NE, Amy Crow of Marysville, KS and Laurie Buess of Wymore, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Alice (Hattra) Ebeling, brother Donald Joe and sister Donna Rae.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Harman-Wright Mortuary Chapel, Beatrice with Pastor Barry Dunmire, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Steele City Cemetery, Steele City. There will be no visitation. Memorial is established to the family's choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
