Donald L. Leseberg

Donald L. Leseberg, 68 years of age, of Beatrice, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 at his home. He was born on December 29, 1946 in Beatrice. Don married Connie Root on September 17, 1966. They divorced in 1986. He served his country in the United States Army and later in the Army National Guard. Don married Darlene Powell on July 12, 2002 in Beatrice. He drove a truck for Wheelers Transport in Beatrice before working for Tieman Construction. Don then opened Don’s Auto Shine before selling cars for Carriage Motors. Don and his son Chad opened Don’s RV and Auto in 1996. In his later years, Don would transport vehicles for Carriage Motors. Don enjoyed restoring old automobiles, demolition derby’s, camping, boating, hunting, fishing, 50’s music, dancing, and especially spending time with his family and grandkids.

Don is survived by his wife, Darlene; 3 children, Cheri’ Lytle and husband David, Angel Cookus and husband Jimmy, both of Wymore, Chad Leseberg and wife Carrie of Beatrice; 2 step children, Tasha Mason and husband Tim of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Christiphor Powell and wife Lynze of Lincoln; 9 grandchildren, Chelsea’, Colton, Jaxon, Austin, Jordan, Ashley, Whitney, Tyler, Collin; 4 step grandchildren, Autum, Nolan, Erika, Laelah; 3 great grandchildren, Wyatt, Destiney, Dominick, Paisley; mother, Juanita Leseberg of Beatrice; brother, Dick Leseberg and wife Margaret Ann; sister, Debra Leseberg, both of Beatrice; 6 sisters-in-law; 1 brother-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Leseberg; step son, Kennie Powell; 2 grandchildren, Justin Ankersen, Jake Cookus; sister, Shirley Leseberg; nephew, Bradley Leseberg; and niece, Teri Ann Hicks.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the Wymore Church of Christ in Wymore with Pastor Clayton Lundstedt officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Blue Springs Cemetery in Blue Springs. There will be no viewing but a register book will be available from 9 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. A memorial fund has been set up at Security First Bank, 120 N 6th Street, Beatrice, NE 68310. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
