Mildred Arlene (Hartwig) Delabar

Mildred A. Delabar, 90, Beatrice, died Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Gold Crest Retirement Center, Adams, NE.  She was born December 1, 1926 on the farm in rural Gage County, NE to Carl F. and Gladys (Longstreth) Hartwig. Mildred attended Sherman Center Country School, SE of Cortland, NE. She enjoyed helping on the farm, gardening, playing cards, watching birds, word search, making quilts for family and sewing for anyone. Mildred was a former member of the Adams Presbyterian Church, and the Centenary United Methodist Church in Beatrice.

Survivors include son, Bob Delabar and wife Beth of Adams; daughter, Barbara Buss and husband Alvin of Beatrice; grandchildren, Michael Buss and wife Lorinda of Adams, Julie Huls and fiancée Luke Traynowicz of Adams, NE, Kim Barnes of Adams, Jill Rogman and husband Alan of St. Mary, NE, Becky WoundedArrow and husband Leo of Lincoln, Tracey Moore and husband Luke of Munden, KS; 19 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Don Hartwig and wife Bonnie of Lincoln; sister-in-law, Carol Hartwig of Lincoln, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Edward (1990); brother, Melvin Hartwig; and two infant grandsons.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Harman-Wright Mortuary Chapel, Beatrice with Pastor Doyle Karst officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery, Beatrice. A family prayer service will be held 12:45 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Harman-Wright Mortuary, and 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday.
