Winona "Noni" M. (Jenne) Foster

Winona “Noni” M. (Jenne) Foster, 75 years of age, of Odell, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Bryan Medical Center East in Lincoln. She was born in Spooner, Wisconsin on January 12, 1940 to Ralph and Lillian (Cameron) Jenne. Noni moved to Nebraska and then Kansas at a young age and graduated from Salina High School in Salina, Kansas in 1958. She married Carney C. Foster on June 8, 1958 in Salina. Noni worked as a police officer for the Salina Police Department from 1960 to 1975 and the Great Bend, Kansas Police Department from 1975 to 1977. After moving to Summerfield Kansas in 1977, Noni moved to Odell in 2006. She was the past vice president of the American Business Womens Association in Salina, past vice president of the Old West Trail Center in Odell and a current member of the Odell American Legion Auxiliary. Noni enjoyed police work, gardening with her mother, fishing & hunting with her father, sewing, reading, genealogy and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Noni is survived by 2 daughters, Machelle Aseron and husband Douglas of Greensboro, North Carolina, Jacqueline Probst and husband Lyle of Odell; grandchildren, Rachel Eickman and husband Jason of Chester, Francis E. Lanagan IV and wife Samantha of North Carolina, Linsey Freitag and husband Forest of Beatrice, Sean Lanagan of Texas, Ashley Probst of Odell; great grandchild, Nealy Eickman and Baby Lanagan due in June; and many other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Carney on January 12, 2013; an infant great grandchild; and sister, Betty Jo Jenne.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, January 11, 2016 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Odell with Pastor Greg Stuckwisch officiating. Interment will follow in the Mission Creek Cemetery southeast of Liberty. Visitation will be held from Noon to 8 PM with family greeting friends from 6 to 7 PM Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to the church in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
