Martha W. (Buss) Gould Brackle

Martha (Buss) Gould Brackle, 101 years of age, of Beatrice, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015 in Beatrice. She was born on November 17, 1913 to William M and Maria E. (Giesbrecht) Buss. She was the middle of three daughters. On April 28, 1932 she was united in marriage to David Butler Gould, they were married for fifty one years. On March 10, 1984 she married Algernon Brackle and they were married for twenty four years.

Martha is survived by her two children, son, David B Gould, II and wife Janet; daughter, Marie E. Wilson; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three step children, Ronald and Richard Brackle and Mary Kay Bedlan and their families; and her younger sister, Bertha McKellips.

After the death of her husband David, Martha founded “sharing and Caring in Grief” an organization which continues to this day. She belonged to numerous civic and social organizations, and was named as an Admiral in the Nebraska Navy. Her Grandfather donated the land for the First Trinity Lutheran Church NW of Beatrice and she was a lifelong and loyal member of the Lutheran church.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 24, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Beatrice with Rev. Douglas Irmer officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 9 PM Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to the St. Paul Lutheran Church Radio Broadcast in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
