LuAnn (Buss) Saathoff

LuAnn Saathoff, 69 Beatrice, died Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Beatrice Community Hospital. She was born December 13, 1946 in Lincoln, NE.  LuAnn grew up on a farm near Hallam, NE, moved to Pickrell then graduated from Beatrice High School in 1965.  She married Billie Saathoff on July 3, 1965 in Beatrice. She worked various jobs including working as a machinist for F.D. Kees MFG.  LuAnn enjoyed playing cards, traveling, music, camping, antiques, animals especially frogs. 

Survivors include her husband, Billie of Beatrice; daughter, Kim Wiese and husband Terry of Gretna, NE; son, Steve Saathoff and wife, April of Beatrice; grandchildren, Jace Wiese of Gretna, T.J. Holcombe and Jason, Wyatt Saathoff, Tesla Martin, Travis Bednar, Kelsi Bednar and Jacob Bednar all of Beatrice; several great-grandchildren, brothers, Roger Buss, Ray Buss and wife Gale, Allen Buss and wife Val all of Beatrice; sister, Carolyn Meyer of Beatrice; bother-in-laws, Harlan Saathoff and Janet, and Clarence Saathoff and wife Virginia all of Beatrice; special niece Julie Stake and husband Tracy of Waverly, NE.  She was preceded in death by parents, Louis and Donna (Nieveen) Buss; and daughter, Laurie Saathoff.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 12, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church, Beatrice with Pastor Myron Meyer officiating.  Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Pickrell.
