I was a classmate of Ray's at UNC and also worked together at the hospital lab. I remember meeting her dad Leo and he seemed to be a great guy! I had lost track of Ray until I happened to see this obituary and would welcome having her contact me!

I HAVE VERY OFTEN WONDERED WHERE DR KELLY WAS. I WAS A NEW SECRETARY IN THE ED BLDG IN 1975 TO DR, LEON CULPEPPER AND DR KELLY WAS JUST DOWN THE HALLWAY FROM ME. WE OFTEN CHATTED AND I LOVED TALKING TO HIM. HE WAS SO INTERESTING, FUNNY, COMPASSIONATE, AND A GOOD LISTENER. I THINK HE LIVED IN A TRAILER UNTIL HE COULD FLY HOME. I CONSIDERED IT AN HONOR AND PRIVILEGE TO HAVE KNOWN DR. KELLY. MAY HE REST NOW.

I just don't know what to say. I always felt Leo would be the last man standing. We were so honored to visit at Playa. I an personally honored and humbled to have known and enjoyed him. Our thoughts are with you.
