Kathryn M. (Schank) Traeger

Kathryn M. Traeger, 95, Beatrice died Friday, January 27, 2017 at Beatrice Health & Rehab Center.  She was born in Beatrice on March 15, 1921 to Fred and Marie (Scharton) Schank. Kathryn married Eugene Traeger November 22, 1949. She worked as a telephone operator and later a supervisor for Lincoln Telephone, now Windstream.  She a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Beatrice and a past member of the V.F.W. Aux., the Legion Aux. and Frank Woods Telephone Co. Kathryn enjoyed her family, playing cards, dancing, being with friends and her dogs and cat.

Survivors include her daughters, Deanna Chesnut of Austin, TX, and Lori Brockmeyer and husband Robert of Daykin, NE; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Eugene.

Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2017 at Harman-Wright Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Karl Lent officiating.  Burial will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery, Beatrice.
