Our thoughts and prayers are with Ron and family. There are many memories of Johnnie and Glenadine and the times our families would get together. We always loved visiting with Johnnie and listening to the stories he had to share.

All of us at Nebraska Rural Water are sorry for your loss. John and Glenadine were such a large part of our association. It is amazing how many people across the state remember them. John was such an interesting person... how could he not be with all the things he did. One story comes to mind. He told my husband, Dan, and me about a time he had to cut a culvert. He used a hand saw and took him most of the day. There are still times when Dan sees a culvert and will bring up John with his hand saw. There are too many stories to tell, but I don't I have ever met a more interesting person.

My dad was from Pawnee County so when I shared the news of John's death with one of them, he commented: "It’s been a long time, but remember when Dad and me would stop at the Mencl Tavern in Virginia and have a red beer and shoot the breeze with them, they could really make Dad laugh, they also could make good Hamburger sandwiches." Nice memory and we lament the loss of our older family memories.
