Evelyn June (Nickeson) Tiemann

Evelyn June Tiemann, 89, Beatrice died Saturday, February 28, 2015 at her home. She was born June 29, 1925 at Ellis, NE. She married Earl E. Tiemann on December 10, 1961 at Trinity Lutheran Church in DeWitt, NE. They farmed north of DeWitt from 1961 to 1982. Evelyn worked for Swift and company in Beatrice and then was head of housekeeping at the Wilber Nursing Home. She will be remembered for her wonderful meatballs, watching Nebraska Football and Volleyball, sitting on her front porch in her red sweater, going to a good garage sale and spending time with her friends and family. 

Survivors include her daughter, Diane Tiemann and special friend Chuck O’Keefe of Beatrice; granddaughters, Rachel Tiemann and special friend Ethan Sprain of Fairbury, Rebecca Tiemann and special friend Kyle Dishman of Kearney; great-grandchildren, Tyvin and Reylynn Tiemann of Fairbury; sister, Bethel Riens and husband Virgil of Beatrice, sisters-in-law, Shirley Nickeson of Beatrice, Doris Ebke and husband Wayne of Lincoln, Gladys Ebke of Daykin; many nieces and nephews. 

Preceded in death by parents, William and Mae (Carpenter) Nickeson; husband, Earl Edward; brother, Bill Nickeson. 

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Beatrice with Pastor William Shaner officiating. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Clatonia, NE. The body will lie in state at Harman-Wright Mortuary of Beatrice from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and at the church one hour preceding the services on Thursday. A memorial has been established to the family’s choice with Duane and Sharon Schuster in charge. Harman-Wright Mortuary and Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
