Thomas "Tom" J. Houseman

Thomas “Tom” J. Houseman, 68 years of age, of Beatrice passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on July 21, 1957 in Beatrice to Keith and Joan (Bishop) Houseman. Tom graduated from Beatrice High School in 1975 and earned his associate’s degree in HVAC from Southeast Community College in Milford. He married Kate Kruger on September 22, 1979. Tom worked a combined 41 years in maintenance for the Good Samaritan Society in Beatrice and Lancaster Manor in Lincoln, retiring in 2020. He enjoyed flower gardening, woodworking, traveling, Beatrice and Husker Sports and especially spending time with his family.

Tom is survived by his wife, Kate; sons, Cameron Houseman and wife Abby of Olathe, Kansas, Brandon Houseman and wife Ashley of Jacksonville, Florida; 7 grandchildren; sister, Chris Niemann and husband Bob of Underwood, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Keith Allen Houseman and Kent A. Houseman.

No services are planned at this time. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
