Terry M. Higgins

Terry M. Higgins, 71 years of age, of Beatrice passed away Monday, September 26, 2022 at Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center in Beatrice. He was born on February 27, 1951 in Pawnee City to Duane and Lorena (Kruse) Higgins. Terry served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from May 29, 1969 to February 10, 1972. He worked several jobs in construction and plumbing. Terry married Theda Frerichs on September 15, 1993 at Coryell Park in Nemaha County, Nebraska. He enjoyed being outdoors and in the sun, gardening, yard work, crossword puzzles, his favorite TV shows and various activities and life lessons with his step grandsons.

Terry is survived by his wife, Theda; daughter, Rhonda Higgins of Lincoln; sons, Tim Higgins of Crete, Jeremy Higgins of Omaha; step-sons, Chad Frerichs, Todd Frerichs and wife Tanya, both of Beatrice; granddaughter, Caralin Higgins; step-grandchildren, Jordan Frerichs, Cody Frerichs, Kelsie Andersen, Amber Klose, Christine Huls; 5 step-great grandchildren; siblings, Karen Zimmerman of Napa, California, Gerald Higgins and wife Kris, Janice Stromitis, Kellie Thomas and husband George, all of Beatrice, Patty Earl and husband Kevan of Amelia, Ohio; sister-in-law, Sharon Higgins of Iowa; brother-in-law, Fred Rodewald of Beatrice; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary Higgins; and niece, Rebecca Higgins.

There will be no services at this time. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
