Susan M. (VanLaningham) Ivy

Susan M. (VanLaningham) Ivy, 62 years of age, of Beatrice passed away alongside her beloved cat, Little on Sunday, August 25, 2024. She was born on December 6, 1961 in Beatrice to Harvey and Norma (Scheele) VanLaningham. Susan attended Beatrice Public Schools. She was a hard worker having several jobs from caretaking to manufacturing. Susan loved helping people and because of that, she was awarded a milestone award from the Red Cross for donating blood. She enjoyed being outside, plants, taking care of people, animals including her cat Little and spending time with her grandchildren.

Susan is survived by her children, Shannon Schidler and significant other, Jay Woodyard of Beatrice, Rhory Ivy of Lincoln, Chelsey Retchless and significant other, Glen Worton of Beatrice; grandchildren, Kaleb Dayhuff, Kaylee Ivy, Alexis Ivy, Owen Retchless, Taison Schidler, Dylan Ivy, Phoenix Retchless, Maileigh Retchless, Cannon Retchless; and brother, Rodney VanLaningham and wife Sherri of Beatrice. She was preceded in death by her parents; and Shannon’s second mother, Lisa Behrens.
