Stephen L. Sweitzer

Stephen L. Sweitzer, 67 years of age, of Beatrice passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center in Beatrice. He was born on January 16, 1956 in Middletown, Ohio to Frederick and Helen (Canterbury) Sweitzer. Stephen served his country as a diesel mechanic in the United States Army from February 11, 1975 to April 7, 1976. He held several jobs in landscaping and as a mechanic. Stephen enjoyed animals, his dogs, horses, hunting and fishing.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Kathleen Wilcox of Beatrice; daughters, Heather Sweitzer and significant other Codie of Milford, Amanda Angevine and husband Jonathon of Beatrice; son, Steven Sweitzer of Florida; grandchildren, Kendall Sweitzer, Noah Wissink, Carter Sweitzer; brothers, Chris Sweitzer and wife Lori, Denny Sweitzer, Ted Sweitzer and wife Cellie, all of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Tim Sweitzer.

Services will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
