Ruth Agnes (Paul) O'Donnell

Ruth Agnes (Paul) O’Donnell, 70 years of age, of Beatrice passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022. She was born on May 26, 1951 in Auburn, Nebraska to Clinton and Esther (Shepard) Paul. Ruth moved with her family from Shubert, NE to Beatrice in 1964. She attended Beatrice High School and graduated with the class of 1969. Ruth married Gary O’Donnell on March 4, 1972 at the Christian Church in Beatrice. They were blessed with two sons; Scott and Brian. Ruth worked at the Busy Bee café as a waitress and later as a cashier for Econo Foods. She also worked for 9 1/2 years as a group manager for ALCO.

Ruth is survived by her sons; Scott of Beatrice, Brian and wife Nicole of Lincoln, sister; Dorothy (Alfred) Smith, of Beatrice, brother; Clinton “Frank” (Jane) Paul of Fairbury, step-grandchildren, Skyler and Jaydan Shigley, both of Lincoln; brother-in-law, Patrick (Sandy) O’Donnell of Arizona, sister-in-law, Shirley O’Donnell of Fremont. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gary, brothers-in-law; Jack and Robert “Bob” O’Donnell, sister-in-law; Mary Jo O’Donnell, nephews; Shawn O’Donnell and Ricky Smith.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, January 21, 2022 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice with Pastor Mike Hanneman officiating. Interment following service at Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice from 9AM to 8 PM with family greeting friends from 6 to 8 PM.
