Roger Doyle Fisher, 75, Beatrice, NE passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Bryan Medical Center-East in Lincoln, NE. He was born February 27, 1944 in Pawnee City, NE to Doyle L. and Hallie J. (Dusenbery) Fisher. Roger graduated from Humboldt High School in 1962. He was in the U.S. Army from October 18, 1962 until October 15, 1965, serving in Vietnam. After serving in the Army he moved to Lincoln, NE and worked for LTT until he retired in 2000. Roger married LoAnn “Annie” Jensen on July 31, 1972 at the courthouse in Lincoln by Judge Dusenbery. They moved to Beatrice after Roger’s retirement where he enjoyed working in his yard and visiting with neighbors. He liked to help his neighbors with their yards, mowing, edging sidewalks or anything they needed. He was an avid train lover. Roger was a member of the VFW in Lincoln.
Survivors include his wife, LoAnn “Annie” of Beatrice; brother, Randall Fisher and significant other Andrea Cook of Austin, TX; mother-in-law, Ellen Jensen of Oakland, NE; sister-in-law, Petrea Eldridge of Oakland, NE; brother-in-law, George Jensen and wife Sheila of Scottsbluff, NE; niece, MaLena Eldridge of Elgin, NE; niece, Desa Clark and husband Christopher of Fremont, NE; great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
