Robert "Bob" E. Schultz

Robert “Bob” E. Schultz, 90 years of age, of Beatrice passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025. He was born on April 17, 1935 in Odell to William and Minnie (Freitag) Schultz. Bob graduated from Odell High School in 1952. He began working at Dempster Industries before serving his country in the United States Army from September 9, 1957 to August 27, 1959, spending most of the time in Germany. On September 19, 1959, Bob was united in marriage to Delores Frerichs at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Beatrice. He returned to Dempster’s and worked there for 44 total years retiring in 1997 as a machinist. Bob was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Beatrice where he served as an usher. He enjoyed their Hawaii trip in 1984, country music concerts, bus trips and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife, Delores; son, Randy Schultz and wife Rosemary of Ness City, Kansas; daughter, Lisa Rohr and husband Scott of Beatrice; grandchildren, Ryan Schultz and wife Nichole, Nathan Rohr and wife Ellie, Anna Cunningham and husband Paul; and great grandchildren, Ella and Reed Schultz, Robert, Lena and Matilda Rohr, Chance, Ava and Gunnar Cunningham. He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Lammert and Anna (Jurgens) Frerichs; great grandson, Rhett Schultz; sister, Elizabeth Shoemaker; and sister-in-law, Arlene Dorn and husband Harold.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice with Chaplain Sharon Schuster officiating. Interment with military rites by the Nebraska Army National Guard Honor Guard and Bitting-Norman Post #27 of the American Legion will follow in the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Monday, September 15, 2025 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary.
