Robert “Bob” William Kildow, 95, of Beatrice passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was born November 4, 1927, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Ross and Berdiena (Fischer) Kildow. He attended school in De Witt, Nebraska where he graduated in 1945. Bob served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Comstock in Japan, China, Hawaii & Guam from October of 1945 to November of 1948. He was united in marriage to Marjorie Johns in 1949 and the couple moved to Wyoming where Bob worked for Mobil Oil Co. for 15 years. They moved back to Beatrice in the later part of 1965 and Bob worked for Cominco American as a foreman until retiring. The couple divorced in 1966 and in 1979, Bob married June (Hoffman) Harris. He enjoyed working with wood, traveling, and working on his computer with pictures.
Bob is survived by his sons: Curt Kildow and Vince (Deb) Kildow, daughter, Marcia Freeman, all of Lincoln, stepson Bobby Harris of Plattsmouth NE; stepdaughter Terry Harris of Beatrice NE; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 6 step-great grandchildren; 1 step great great grandchild; cousin who was more like a sister to him, Gail (Dean) Steinmeyer; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, wives Marjorie and June and son Steven Ross Kildow.
A Celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
