Paul R. Emerton, Sr, 80 years of age, of Beatrice, formerly of Red Oak, Texas passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln. He was born on February 7, 1941 in Russellville, Arkansas to Joe and Margaret (Nave) Emerton. Paul was a business owner and truck driver for Yellow Freight Lines for 27 years. He made a lot of friends owning the Country Burger in Oak Cliff, Texas. Paul enjoyed playing cards with friends on Saturday nights, traveling and especially the time with his children and grandchildren.
Paul is survived by his wife, Donna; children, Paul Jr and wife Audrey of Red Oak, Texas, Paula Godwin and husband Scott of Lone Oak, Texas, Preston and wife Jill of Lake Mary, Florida; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 5 siblings.
Private family services will be held. Memorials are suggested to family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
