Michael D. Maguire

Michael D. Maguire, 71 years of age, of Plymouth passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 9, 2025. He was born on May 30, 1953 in Wymore to Austin and Tylene (Powell) Maguire. Mike graduated from Wymore High School. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from May 30, 1974 to July 28, 1975. Mike retired after many years as the Parts Manager for Hasenkamp Fertilizer and Nutrien. He was a member of the American Legion in Plymouth and enjoyed fishing, hunting and attending all of his grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s activities.

Mike is survived by his children, Theresa Stege and significant other Andy Rodecap of Hoyt, Kansas, William Maguire and significant other Jerilynn Daedler of Oklahoma, Mike Maguire Jr. and significant other, Lois Hunsberger of Hastings, Patrick Maguire of Beatrice; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Daniel Maguire and wife Vicki of Pierz, Minnesota, Keith Maguire and wife Karen of Wymore; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 17, 2025 with Jon Palmquist officiating. There will be no visitation. Military rites will be provided by the United States Army Honor Guard and Bitting-Norman Post #27 of the American Legion. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
