Michael Earl Baete

Michael Earl Baete, 71 years of age, of Beatrice passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Beatrice Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on January 12, 1954 in Beatrice to Adolph and Edith (Hermle) Baete. Michael married Virginia “Beth” Oehm on August 30, 1971. They later divorced but remained friends. He worked in construction from 17 years of age into his late 50’s before his health forced him to stop working. Michael was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed woodworking.

Michael is survived by his children, Suzanne Bayless and husband Steven, Michele Jobman and husband Russell, Michael Baete and significant other Tasha, all of Beatrice, Amanda Benson and husband Corey of Ponca; life long friend, Beth Baete; grandchildren, Casandra Warneke and husband Kyle, Tiffani Bayless, Tabitha Lindblad and husband Sean, Trevor Bayless and fiancée Whitney, Haley Baete, Caleb Jobman, Noah Jobman, Hannah Jobman, Lacey Baete, Samuel Jobman, Dax Benson, Emmy Benson, Aria Baete; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Linda Baumann and husband Greg of Wilber; and brother, Glen Baete and wife Kathy of Beatrice. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Martha Oehm; and sister, Lorraine McCown.

Services will be held at a later date. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
