Lloyd Kenneth Wilkinson

Lloyd Kenneth Wilkinson, 79, Beatrice, NE died Monday, October 22, 2018 at Bryan Medical Center East in Lincoln, NE. He was born January 21, 1939 rural Marysville, KS to Kenneth and Edna (Luedders) Wilkinson. He graduated from Barneston High School. Lloyd married Neva Novotny February 26, 1960 in Barneston, NE. They lived in Barneston, Wymore and moved to Beatrice in 1993. Lloyd worked in Aerospace in Wichita, KS, was a janitor for the Barneston School, co-owned R & L Oil Co., and was a machinist at NEAPCO Mfg. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, camping, working on cars, the Huskers, going to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Neva of Beatrice; daughter, Sheryl Gay and husband Craig of Beatrice; son, Tom Wilkinson and wife Donnetta of Beatrice; daughter, Jackie Baker and husband Randy of Wymore; brother, Jerry Wilkinson and wife Pat of Texas; sister-in-law, Ruth Hroch of Wymore; brother-in-law, Dale Novotny and wife Eleanor of Lincoln; grandchildren, Megan Kopf and husband Michael, Jr. of Beatrice, Michelle Bowhay and husband Jacoby of Beatrice, Jamie Maxwell and husband Sam of Lincoln, David Gay and fiancée Hannah of Beatrice, Jessica McGrail and husband Tony of Kansas City, MO, Nick Baker of Wymore, and Shelby Baker of Lincoln; great-grandchildren, Bryce, Riley, Alaina, Sofia, Isabella, Jackson, Jordan, Kyel, Maddox, Gentry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Edna (Luedders) Wilkinson; brother, Eugene Wilkinson; brothers-in-law, Alvin Hroch and wife Odean, and Ernest Hroch; sister-in-law, Donna Novotny.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday October 26, 2018 at Harman-Wright Mortuary, Beatrice with Jon Palmquist officiating.  Interment will be at Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice.  A memorial has been established to the family’s choice.  The body will lie in state at the Harman-Wright Mortuary on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. and then one hour preceding services on Friday. www.harmanwrightmortuary.com Harman-Wright Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
