Linda Langdale Obituary

Linda Sue (Carel) Langdale, 64 of Beatrice, Nebraska, was born on January 28, 1961, in Beatrice, Nebraska to Harry Frederick Sr. and Gretchen Ann (Milke) Carel.  She was raised in Beatrice where she attended Beatrice public schools and graduated from Beatrice High School with the class of 1979.  On August 11, 1984, Linda was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Jennings Langdale at the First Baptist Church in Beatrice.  The couple made their home in Beatrice where Linda worked as a staff assistant for the Nebraska Department of Roads for 14 years.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Beatrice and a past member of the Toastmasters.  Linda was a lifelong dog lover and cherished her furry friends with all her heart.  She leaves her best friend “Rusty” to mourn her passing.  In her spare time, Linda enjoyed beading, crocheting, reading, and playing computer games

Linda passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Bryan LGH Medical Center East in Lincoln, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of sixty-four years and nine months. She is preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law Dana and Eunice (Imes) Langdale, brother Willie Carel, and dogs: Molly, Max, Misty, and Bru.

Linda is survived by her loving husband Robert “Bob” Langdale of Beatrice, brother Harry Carel Jr. of Beatrice, her sister Nancy Barnes and husband Francis of Beatrice, brothers-in-law: Dennis Langdale and his wife Rhonda of Beatrice, Allen Langdale and his wife Deb of Beatrice, sister-in-law Barb Carel of Beatrice, nephews: Brian Langdale and wife Kelly of Beatrice, Chris Langdale of Beatrice, Stacy Barnes and wife Kim of Waverly, NE; Robbie Barnes of Crete, NE; nieces: Becky Barnes of Beatrice, Barbie Bakenhus and husband Kevin of Lincoln, great-nieces: Sheridan Martinez and husband John of Beatrice, Graysen Langdale and special friend Grady Chandler of Pleasanton, NE; and great-great- niece Iyla Martinez, and many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Linda’s Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family’s choice with a later designation.
