Lawrence "Larry" D. Streit

Lawrence “Larry” D. Streit, 76 years of age, of Davey passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026. He was born on August 25, 1949 in Beatrice to Lester and Betty (Ballard) Streit. Larry graduated from Beatrice High School and earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He retired after many years as an Electrical Engineer for Lincoln Electric System. Larry was a jack of all trades who could fix anything and built his own house. He thoroughly enjoyed helping people when needed.

Larry is survived by his sister, Sandy Streit of Davey; 2 nieces; and 1 nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Rosi O’Brien and husband William.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, January 19, 2026 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice with Jon Palmquist officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary.
