Lawrence Earl Hagemeier

Lawrence Earl Hagemeier, 84 years of age, of Beatrice passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at his home. He was born on July 14, 1934 in Beatrice to Fred and Anna (Brinkmeyer) Hagemeier. Lawrence graduated from Beatrice High School. He married Virginia Otto on April 8, 1958 in Fairbury. Lawrence lived and farmed in the Beatrice area his whole life. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Beatrice where he was a church usher, served on church council and helped with various projects and mission work. Lawrence previously was a 4-H leader and served on the elevator board. He enjoyed farming, church league softball, fishing and hunting.

Lawrence is survived by his wife, Virginia; sons, Larry and wife Judy of DeWitt, Roy, Dale and wife Jonetta, both of Beatrice; 4 grandchildren, Spencer Hagemeier and wife Ellen; Brielle Langley and husband John, Kaylin Hagemeier, Noah Hagemeier; great granddaughters, Charlotte and Elizabeth Hagemeier; brother, Glen; sisters-in-law, Ruth Hagemeier of Clay Center, Deloris Dickenson, both of Beatrice, Patricia Poole and husband Paul of Aurora, Colorado; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harvey, Vernon, Ivan, Lyn; and sister, Arlene Humphreys.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, December 31, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church in Beatrice with Pastor Leah Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 AM Monday in the church chapel. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 PM Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice and one hour preceding services at the church on Monday. Memorials are suggested to BCH Hospice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
