Larry Gene Whitton

Larry Gene Whitton, 74 years of age, of Beatrice passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Society in Beatrice. He was born on January 14, 1951 in Wymore to Clarence Ancel Whitton and LaVonne Fay (Robinson) Powers.

Larry is survived by his children, Tonja Stell and significant other Vic Mittelstaedt of Missouri, Ancel Whitton and wife Kylie of Plymouth; son-in-law, David Kagy of Beatrice; grandchildren, Kaylie, Erich, Tanner, Erial, Baylee, Blakelynn, Emerson, Jerica, Cassandra, Ransom, Kelbie; great grandchildren, Taleya, Dayton, Daxtin, Emberlee, Harlow, Lalanie, Kaysen; sister, Judy Crabtree of Texas; and many other nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; long time partner, Sandy; daughter, Buffy Kagy; and siblings, Terry Whitton, Edna Steinberg and Alvina “Sally” Whitton.

A celebration of life will be held over lunch on Saturday, June 28, 2025 from noon to 2 PM at Pioneers Inn in Gilead. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
