Larry C. Weishahn Sr.

Larry C. Weishahn Sr., 83 years of age, of Beatrice passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Bryan Medical Center East in Lincoln. He was born on June 22, 1941 near Western to Clarence and Alvina (Schwisow) Weishahn. After graduating from Daykin High School in 1959, Larry moved to Beatrice and married Judith Van Camp on January 28, 1962 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Beatrice. She passed away on March 21, 1990. He later married Beverly (Hurt) Hook on September 4, 1998. Larry started working at Store Kraft Manufacturing Company right after graduation until his retirement in 2002. There, he held many positions from a draftsman in the sales department, manager of sales and drafting, customer service manager, in charge of bids and store fixture installations and retired as human resources manager. Larry was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Daykin and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Beatrice since 1960 where he was on the St. Paul’s Parochial School Board, Sunday School Superintendent, usher member and the church social club. He was also involved with Jaycees and on the board of directors at Store Kraft Employee Credit Union and Members Own Credit Union. Larry enjoyed yard work, motorcycle riding, jet skiing, traveling and spending time with family.

Larry is survived by his wife, Beverly; sons, Larry Weishahn Jr. and wife Gina, Kevin Weishahn, both of Beatrice; daughter, Kimberly Weishahn and wife Sheryl Beck of Lincoln; step daughters, LeaAnn Smith and husband Scott of Orlando, Florida, Lisa Hook of Lincoln; grandchildren, Jess Ideus and husband Craig, Natasha Hibbert and husband Andrew, Dylan Melcher and wife Shelby, Spencer Weishahn and wife Kelsey, Kamree Weishahn and significant other Eli Pelc, Nicholas Smith and wife Sami, Matthew Smith and wife Christine; great grandchildren, Brogan, Bryleigh, McKenzleigh and Chesleigh Ideus, Braelyn, Broderick and Brielle Hibbert, Aiden and Wynnifred Melcher, Kallen Stohs, Landon Weishahn, Sadie and Connor Smith; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Judith Weishahn; infant brother, Jimmy Lee Weishahn; sisters, Inez Rudge, Irella Brinkman and husband Roger; brother-in-law, Francis Hurt and wife Betty; and sister-in-law, Alberta Sick and husband Alfred.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, March 21, 2025 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Beatrice with Pastor Daryn Bahn officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 AM Friday in the church basement. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice from 2 to 8 PM with family greeting friends from 6 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the St. Paul Lutheran School in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
