Kenneth Lee Parrish

Kenneth Lee Parrish, 89 years of age, of Wymore passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023, Ottertail, Minnesota.  He was born on April 12, 1934, in Tecumseh, Nebraska to Charles and Edus (Hickey) Parrish. He grew up in Tecumseh, Nebraska where he received his schooling and graduated from high school.  On January 6, 1953, Kenneth entered active duty in the U.S. Army and served his country during the Korean War.  He continued his service during the Vietnam War until being honorably discharged in March of 1978.  Kenneth was united in marriage to Donna on July 6, 1956, in Nebraska City, Nebraska.  To this union two daughters, Annie and Zoe were born. The couple raised their family in various states while Kenneth was in the military.  He later moved to Wymore, Nebraska in 1996.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter Annie Jeffrey and husband Ron of Virginia, NE; grandchildren: Jeremiah Oshea Tart, Lacie Tart, and Stevie Tart all of Beatrice, NE; great-grandchildren: Taylor Tart of Wymore, NE; Huxley Ideus of Wymore, NE; brothers: Charles Parrish and wife Pat of San Antonia, TX; Jerry Parrish and wife Millie of Kansas; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Donna, daughter Zoe Tart, sisters: Carol Hespen, Betty McWain, Cecil Burns, and Shirley Straub, and brother Keith Parrish.

Graveside Memorial Services will be held at a later date at the Vesta Cemetery in rural Tecumseh, Nebraska with full military honors conducted.  Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary.
