Karen K. (Jones) Dickson

Karen K. (Jones) Dickson, 79 years of age, of Beatrice was received peacefully into the arms of Jesus Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Beatrice Health and Rehabilitation in Beatrice. She was born in Beatrice on June 21, 1940 to Donald and Elda (Barber) Jones. Karen graduated from Beatrice High School. She held numerous jobs throughout her life including as a CNA for 14 years at BSDC, 7 years at the Good Samaritan Society and as a foster grandparent. Karen enjoyed the casino, animals, bingo and especially time with her family and grandchildren and all their activities.

Karen is survived by her daughter, Becky Vorderstrasse and husband Jarrod of Blue Springs; sons, Tim Dickson, Doug Dickson and significant other RaJean May, both of Beatrice; grandchildren, Nicole Drake and fiancé Brian Brauer of Wilber, Travis Eichenberger and wife Katrina of Gretna, Paige Joseph and husband Daniel of Lincoln, Brandon Dickson of Beatrice; great grandchildren, Caleb, Sydney, Chloe, Ayviona and Maxwell; sister, Cheryl Stromitis and husband Mike of North Platte; brother, Darwin Jones and wife Peggy of Junction City, Kansas; several nieces and nephews; her Beatrice Health and Rehab and BCH Hospice families; and many friends throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Terry Jones; and infant sister, Donna Jones.

Memorial Graveside Services will be held at noon on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Pleasantview Cemetery near Pickrell with Pastor Lana Likens officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:30 to 11:30 AM Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
