Josephine Hamernik, 89 years of age, of Beatrice passed away Monday, May 31, 2021 at Beatrice Health and Rehabilitation in Beatrice.

Josephine is survived by her children, Lupe Saathoff and spouse Keith of Lincoln, Rita Blanco and special friend Jerry of Lakewood, Colorado, Sandy Blanco-Anderson and spouse Greg of Lincoln, Tonia Buss and spouse Mark of Beatrice, Deborah Blanco of Lincoln, Kim Dawson and spouse Bill of Arapahoe, Michael Blanco Vaughn and spouse Chrystal of Tulelake, California; brother, William Hamernik of Omaha; 16 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jolene Kay Blanco; sons, Richard Dean Blanco and Joe Blanco Jr.; parents, Anton Hamernik and Josephine Provost; and sister, Lucille Nagele.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
