Joan Kay (Groen) Ostermann

Joan Kay (Groen) Ostermann on June 5, 2019, went to be with our Savior. Born July 14, 1941, to John and Hilda (Eeten) Groen, in Obrien County, Iowa. She was baptized and later confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hartley, Iowa. Joan married Paul Ostermann on September 6, 1959. After moving to Beatrice, Joan worked several years for Dr. Kenneth Pinkerton, as well as Dr. Bill Pinkerton.

Joan is survived by her husband, Paul; children, Nathan (Cathie) Ostermann, Nancy (Michael) Creutz, Neal (Kim) Ostermann, and Naomi Alderson; grandchildren; and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; and brother, Donald Groen.

Celebration of Life will be Friday, June 14, 2019, 10:30 a.m., at Cornerstone Lutheran Church, 2342 Hoyt Street, Beatrice, Nebraska. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, June 13, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cornerstone. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family’s choosing.
