Jeffrey "Daffy" L. Bishop

Jeffrey “Daffy” L. Bishop, 56 years of age, of Beatrice passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Bryan Medical Center East. He was born on January 7, 1965 in Beatrice to David and Connie (Kimes) Bishop. Jeff graduated from Beatrice High School in 1984. He held numerous jobs and was currently employed for the last 18 years at Walmart. Jeff married Kathy Mees on October 20, 2000 in Beatrice. He enjoyed being outside, yardwork, riding his bike, wrestling, NASCAR, football and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Kathy; sons, Aaron Bishop and significant other Teniesha Kuhn of Dubuque, Iowa, Bryan Bishop and significant other Morgan Patton of Wilber; step-mother, Deb Bishop of Beatrice; grandchildren, Landon Johnson, Jayda Bishop, Novaleigh Bishop, Maleigha Bishop, Myles Bishop; siblings, Jeremy Bishop and wife Amanda, Barbara Harrison and husband Dale, both of Beatrice, Chrissy Summers of Crete, Cole Younger of Beatrice, Lisa Huschka and husband Eric of Seward; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and great grandparents.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice with Kathy Buhr officiating. The service will be live streamed on the mortuary’s Facebook page. Masks and social distancing will be required. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. The public is encouraged to attend a luncheon at noon on Wednesday at the Veteran’s Club, 701 Dorsey Street in Beatrice. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 PM with family greeting friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
