Ida H. (Schuster) Lohmeyer

Ida H. (Schuster) Lohmeyer, 88 years of age, of Beatrice passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Society in Beatrice. She was born on September 2, 1936 in Adams to Henry and Marie (Bruns) Schuster. Ida attended Olney Country School. She married Dewane Lohmeyer on January 7, 1956 at the American Lutheran Church in Filley. Ida worked at MOSAIC for over 40 years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Beatrice where she was active in Altar Guild, Tabitha Circle, funeral lunches, Lutheran World Relief and making prayer shawls and baby blankets. Ida loved her family and enjoyed crocheting, baking, flowers and collecting clowns.

Ida is survived by her children, Randy Lohmeyer of Seguin, Texas, Barb Schroeder and husband Mark of Lincoln, Mike Lohmeyer and wife Mary of Beatrice, Karen Anderson and husband Rob of Omaha, Debbie Wollenburg and husband Mark of Milford, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dewane on May 13, 2009; son, Doug Lohmeyer and wife Sue; daughter-in-law, Lisa Lohmeyer; great granddaughter, Eden Grace Wollenburg; sisters, Anna Dorn and husband Raymond, Janetta Frerichs and husband Wilber, Joanne Ramsey and husband Glen; and brother-in-law, Rollin Lohmeyer and wife JoNel.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, November 18, 2024 at St. John Lutheran Church in Beatrice with Rev. Dr. Renae Koehler officiating. The service will be live streamed on the church’s Facebook page. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 AM Monday at the church. Closed casket visitation will be held from 1 to 6 PM Sunday, November 17, 2024 and the family will greet friends one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
