Gerald “Gary” R. Coudeyras, 74 years of age, of Lincoln passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025 at Emerald Nursing and Rehab Lancaster in Lincoln. He was born on September 17, 1950 in Beatrice to Raymond and Agatha (Ullman) Coudeyras. Gary attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Beatrice. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from September 30, 1968 to September 29, 1970 where he earned his GED. Gary married Dixie “Diane” Whittemire on June 11, 1975. He worked for BNSF for 20 years, lastly as a conductor. Gary enjoyed drinking and watching TV.
Gary is survived by his wife, Diane; daughter, Shelly Leach; son, J.R. Coudeyras, all of Lincoln; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brothers, Bill Coudeyras and special friend Donna Miller, Francis Coudeyras and special friend Peggy Kuhlman, both of Beatrice; brother-in-law, Eddie Hyatt of Douglas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; and brother, Larry Coudeyras.
Graveside Inurnment Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Beatrice. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
