Elaine "Liz" L. (Heiliger) Schroeder

Elaine “Liz” L. (Heiliger) Schroeder, 89 years of age, of Beatrice passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Bryan Medical Center East in Lincoln. She was born on December 26, 1935 in Plymouth to Elmer and Alvina (Unger) Heiliger. Elaine graduated from Plymouth High School in 1953 and attended a year at Lincoln School of Commerce. She began working at First National Bank in Beatrice. Elaine married Allen Schroeder on May 19, 1962 at Church of Peace in Plymouth. She started working as a bookkeeper at Sack Lumber in Beatrice and worked there for many years. Elaine was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plymouth where she was involved with Ladies Aid and the choir. She enjoyed bowling, flowers, playing cards and attending her grandchildren’s activities.

Elaine is survived by her daughters, Lisa Roseland and husband Doug of Altamonte Springs, Florida, Amy Thimm and husband Randy of Lincoln; sons, Tom Schroeder and wife Deb of Sioux City, Iowa, Timothy Schroeder of Beatrice; grandchildren, Brandon Roseland and wife Kelsey, Aaron Roseland and wife Amber, Nicole Vandendriessche and husband Andrew, Alex Thimm, Marcus Thimm and wife Elizabeth, Jared, Jacob and Mallory Schroeder; great grandchildren, Riley, Hudson and Jael; brother-in-law, Gail Schroeder and wife Patti; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Edwin and Rosa (Zimmerman) Schroeder; husband, Allen on June 4, 2018; sisters, Donna Jean Heiliger, Maxine Bessler and husband Virgil; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Freese and husband Richard, Marlene Scheele, Sharon Schroeder; brothers-in-law, Wayne Schroeder and wife Elaine, and Allen Scheele.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, October 17, 2025 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plymouth with Pastor Justin Dauck officiating. A family prayer service will be held at 10 AM Friday at the church. Interment will follow in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery west of Plymouth. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice from 4 to 8 PM and on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Plymouth from 1 to 8 PM with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 PM. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in care of the church elders. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice and Plymouth in charge of arrangements.
