Dot E. (Hubbard) Cornelius, 90 years of age, of Lincoln, formerly of Beatrice passed away Friday, July 8, 2022 at The Independence House at Coddington in Lincoln. She was born on July 9, 1931 in Beatrice to Ray and Elizabeth (Traubel) Hubbard. Dot graduated from Beatrice High School in 1949. She married Clinton “Lovelle” Cornelius on September 13, 1953. Dot worked at Dole’s Floral, Cable Vision and retired after many years as a secretary at Nebraska Public Power District. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Beatrice where she served on several committees Red Hat Club and volunteered at the Bargain Box. Dot enjoyed playing cards and time with friends.
Dot is survived by her sons, Mike Cornelius and wife Laurie of Denton, Richard Cornelius of Rapid City, South Dakota; grandchildren, Amanda Carey, Ashley Buhr and husband Benjamin, Travis Cornelius, TJ Cornelius and wife Mallory, Chelsie Zdziennicki, Tayler Cornelius; 8 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lovelle; daughter-in-law, Becky Cornelius; 3 brothers; and 1 sister.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, July 13, 2022 in the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice with Rev. Dr. Ranae Koehler officiating. There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place but a register book will be available to sign from 9 AM to 5 PM Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to St. John Lutheran Church in Beatrice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
