Donald L. Blobaum

Donald L. Blobaum, 71 years of age, of Harbine passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023. He was born on April 1, 1952 in Fairbury to Roland and Gladys (Theye) Blobaum. Don married Elaine Rosenthal on March 1, 1975 at Zion Lutheran Church near Harbine. He spent the majority of his working life at Store Kraft in Beatrice and American Tool in DeWitt. Don was a member of Zion Lutheran Church near Harbine and enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on various projects and spending time with his 3 grandsons.

Don is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elaine; daughter, Keri Grummert and husband Michael; son, Ryan Blobaum and wife Rachel, both of Lincoln; grandsons, Wyatt, Weston and Jackson Grummert; brothers-in-law, Harold Baumfalk of Beatrice, Duane Carstens of Colorado, Gerald Rosenthal and wife Dorathea of Fairbury, Duane Rosenthal of Harbine, Dean Rosenthal of Fullerton, Leonard Rosenthal and wife Laura, Gary Rosenthal, both of Harbine; sisters-in-law, Marge Wollenburg and husband Herb of Odell, Leola Wollenburg, Marilyn Adam and husband Dale, Shirley Peterson and husband Kevin; niece, Sherry Rogge and husband Mark; nephew, Todd Diekman, all of Beatrice; and several other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Oscar and Milda (Malchow) Rosenthal; son, Chad; sisters, Anita Baumfalk, Kathy Carstens; brother-in-law, Walt Wollenburg; nephew, Michael Rosenthal; and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church near Harbine with Pastor Greg Stuckwisch officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Closed casket visitation will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice from 2 to 8 PM with family greeting friends from 6 to 7 PM. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice with a later designation in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
