David "Bubba" L. Ethington, Jr.

David “Bubba” L. Ethington, Jr., 61 years of age, of Beatrice passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 17, 2021 at CHI Health Lakeside Hospital in Omaha. He was born on October 26, 1960 in Dallas, Texas to David Sr. and Lynne (Lindsay) Ethington. Bubba served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He married Dinah Dike on August 29, 1987. Bubba worked for BNSF Railroad for 22 years. He enjoyed fishing and being around his grandchildren.

Bubba is survived by the love of his life for 34 years, Dinah; sons, Christapher Dike and wife Amanda of Beatrice, Mathieu Ethington of Lincoln; father, David Ethington, Sr.; sisters, Vikki Ethington, Jina Park and husband Jeff, Quylie Bradford and husband Larry, all of Texas; mother-in-law, LelaMae Dike of DeWitt; nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother; and infant son, Joshua Ethington.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, December 27, 2021 at the DeWitt United Methodist Church in DeWitt with Pastor Lori Miller officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Oak Grove Cemetery near DeWitt. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
