Damon Connor Swarthout

Damon Connor Swarthout, 16 of Beatrice died Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Beatrice Community Hospital.  He was born April 30, 1998 in Beatrice.  He was an avid Oregon Ducks Fan. Damon enjoyed Hot Rods, skateboarding, playing video games, going for rides with his brother Eean and spending time with his special friends, Blake Paben and Chris Glover. 

Survivors include his parents, Teresa Kagy and Mark Swarthout of Beatrice; brother, Eean of Beatrice; grandmother, Loretta Swarthout of South Dakota; great-grandmother, Mildred Stevens of Beatrice; aunts and uncles, George Kagy, Bill and Melodee Kagy of Virginia, Dave and Buffy Kagy of Beatrice, Casey Kagy of Crab Orchard, Tanya and Sean Binnick of Beatrice, Steve Swarthout and special friend Geana Zimmerman of Beatrice; cousin, Drae Swarthout of Beatrice, several great-aunts and uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by, grandparents, Phillip and Mildred Kagy and Bill and Charlotte Swarthout; great-grandmothers, Lorene Swarthout and Beatrice Clausen.

Memorial Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 31, 2014 at the Church of the Nazarene 16^th & Sara Rd in Beatrice with Pastor Rob Wheeler officiating. No viewing but a book is available for signatures at Harman-Wright Mortuary Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. then at the church one hour preceding services.
