Carolyn (Gilland) Huffine

Carolyn G. Huffine, 81 of Beatrice, NE, passed away March 18, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Center in Beatrice. She was born November 22, 1939 in Lima, Ohio. She was in the high school band, graduating from Van Wert High School in 1958. Carolyn married her high school sweetheart Clarence Huffine on July 2, 1960. She was an insurance agent for JCPenney. Carolyn and Clarence loved to travel and lived in several states. She enjoyed going to church, spending time with her friends, eating out, word search puzzles, shopping walking and feeding the ducks in the park.

Survivors include brother, Frank Gilland (Sally) of Dayton, OH; sister-in-law, Phyllis Gilland of Beatrice; nieces, Diana Blythe (Brian) of Beatrice, Jennifer Gilland Armstrong (Eric) of Keller, TX and Amy Gilland Mitchell (Scott) of St. Augustine, FL; nephews, Jeff Gilland (Jackie) of Beatrice, and Mark Gilland (Genene) of Beatrice; great nephews, Travis Blythe (Jayde), Ryan Gilland (Melissa), Skylar Gilland (Emily), and Carson Gilland Mitchell; great nieces, Nicole Goldsmith (Tanner) and Laklyn Gilland Mitchell; and great-great nieces, Scarlett, Makayla, Eden and Calli; great-great nephew, Zackary.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Huffine; parents, Lorin and Julia (Linn) Gilland; brother, William (Bill) Gilland; great-great niece, Stella Rose.

The family will greet friends 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday evening March 25, 2021 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice.
