Carol Ann (Walbridge) Trout

Carol Ann (Walbridge) Trout, 90 years of age, of Beatrice passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at the Good Samaritan Society in Beatrice. She was born on August 25, 1935 at Wymore to Donald and Juanita (Brewer) Walbridge. Carol was baptized on April 10, 1949 at the United Methodist Church in Wymore. She graduated from Friend High School in 1954. Carol married Donavon Trout on February 2, 1958 at the Havelock Methodist Church. Carol and Donavon loved traveling to many places including Alaska for their 50th wedding anniversary. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, collecting butterflies and Nebraska Volleyball.

Carol is survived by her sons, Steven Trout of Beatrice, David Trout and wife Janet of Filley; grandchildren, Spencer Trout and wife Asia, Mitchell Trout; great grandchildren, Cael and Cora; sister, Shirley Back of Melbourne, Florida; sisters-in-law, Erma Smith of Bellevue, Bonnie Trout of Wymore; cousin, Bob Glenn and wife Alice of Anchorage, Alaska; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donavon on July 6, 2025; sister, Peggy Jurgens and husband Richard; sister-in-law, Lila Rees and husband Kenneth; and brothers-in-law, Dennis Back, Floyd Smith and Norman Trout.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, February 6, 2026 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice with Chaplain Sharon Schuster officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 PM on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
