Carl E. Newman

Carl E. Newman, 56 years of age, of Beatrice passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Homestead Village in Beatrice. He was born on May 17, 1964 in Lincoln to Ronald and Verna (Nemechek) Newman. Carl graduated from Lewiston Consolidated Schools in 1982. He served his country in the United States Army from May 2, 1985 to March 28, 1988. Carl studied Computer Engineering at ITT Technical Institute in Houston, Texas. He was very outspoken and comical and enjoyed computer games, Ozzy Osbourne and especially his grandchildren.

Carl is survived by a son, Timothy Newman and wife Kristi of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Jericho and Summer; mother, Verna Williams of Beatrice; siblings, Annie Newman of Lincoln, Rickey Newman and wife Paula of Linn, Kansas, Pam Lottman and husband Bob of Beatrice; Daniel Newman and wife Cathy of Holmesville; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
