Buffy L. (Whitton) Kagy

Buffy L. (Whitton) Kagy, 45 years of age, of Beatrice passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln. She was born on January 8, 1979 in Beatrice to Larry and Sandra (Corter) Whitton. Buffy married David Kagy on June 18, 1996 in Ringo, Georgia. She was currently working as a supervisor at the United States Postal Service in Beatrice where she had been employed the last 23 years. Buffy enjoyed traveling, planting flowers, raising foster children for 11 years, her family, grandchild and her dogs.

Buffy is survived by her husband, David; children, Jerica Kagy, Cassandra Kagy, Ransom Kagy, Kelbie Kagy; grandchild, Harlow Kagy; 2 grandchildren on the way; father, Larry Whitton, all of Beatrice; sisters, Lisa Stewart and husband Scott of Florida, Tonja Stell and husband Vic of Missouri; brother, Ancel Whitton and wife Kylie of Plymouth; brother-in-law, Casey Kagy of Lincoln; sisters-in-law, Tanya Binnick of York, Teresa Kagy of Beatrice; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother; brothers-in-law, Bill Kagy and wife Melodie, Phillip Kagy; and uncle, Terry Whitton.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 3 to 7 PM at David and Buffy’s home, 1727 North 15th Street in Beatrice. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
