Beverly J. (Garton) Rhine, 86 years of age, of Liberty passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Gold Crest Retirement Center in Adams. She was born on September 3, 1938 in Beatrice to Clifford and Fern (Camp) Garton. Beverly graduated from Beatrice High School in 1956. After graduating, she worked one year at the Beatrice Daily Sun and then two years at Beatrice Iron and Metal. Beverly married Burt Rhine on October 1, 1960 at the Blue Springs Methodist Church. She worked for 15 years at BSDC but spent the majority of a time being a devoted farm wife. Beverly was a past member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Liberty and enjoyed embroidery, gardening, puzzles, bird watching and shopping.
Beverly is survived by her sons, Bob and wife Tracy of Blue Springs, Jerry and wife Wendy of Beatrice, Jim Bob of Virginia; grandchildren, Robin Crouse and husband Bill, Travis Rhine, Jordan Rhine; great-grandchildren, Diamond and husband Tyler, Justin, Bryleigh, Corbin; great great grandchildren, Axel, Amaiya; brother, Danny Garton of Harbine; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Burt on February 14, 2017; 3 grandchildren; brother, John Garton; sister, Arlene Witaker and husband Dick; and brother-in-law, Byron Rhine.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 19, 2024 at the Blue Springs Cemetery with Pastor David Bigley officiating. Closed casket visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice from 2 to 8 PM with family greeting friends from 5 to 7 PM. Memorials are suggested to the Blue Springs Cemetery in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
