Anthony "Tony" D. Ewald

Anthony “Tony” D. Ewald, 59 years of age, of Beatrice passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Society in Beatrice. He was born on September 14, 1966 in Beatrice to David and Maureen (Danforth) Ewald. Tony graduated from Wymore High School and attended Peru State College. He served briefly in the United States Army before being medically discharged. Tony married Kelly Priefert in 1995 and they later divorced. He worked at a variety of places including Hoover Group, BSDC, Store Kraft and Beatrice Machine. Tony was a past member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and was an herbalist who enjoyed playing pool, making knives and reading.

Tony is survived by his children, Alex Ewald and significant other Taylor Trones of Beatrice, Mattie Ewald of Skagway, Alaska; and stepson, Jesse Joyce of Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Correena “Cori” Ewald.
