Alexander Lane Rader

Alexander Lane Rader, 26, was unexpectedly taken from us on December 31, 2020. He was born on September 13, 1994 in Beatrice, to Deanna and James Rader.  He was a proud member of the ROTC when he was at the Omaha Home for Boys. He graduated from Frankfort HS in KS in 2013 and attended NCKTC in Beloit KS after high school.  

Alex loved fishing and hunting, going to the races, working on his car, riding dirt bikes and 4 wheelers, Husker football, Chiefs and Steelers football, KC Royals baseball, helping in his dad’s garden, running heavy equipment like bulldozers scrapers and road maintainers, and going to tractor pulls.

He worked as a contractor in construction, hanging gutters, framing houses and roofing. He also worked at Titan Trailers building horse trailers and as a welder.

Alex leaves behind his mother, Deanna Rader of Beatrice, father, James Rader of Blue Rapids KS, children, Adyn and Aubree of Frankfort KS, sister, Amanda Rader and niece, Jayla Hansen of Beatrice, aunts, Amy (Brad) Sorrells and cousins, Lacey and Leah of Spring TX, Leslie Harless and cousin, Andrew of Houston TX, Melissa (Troy) Bernadt and cousins, Brooke and Bailey of Lincoln NE, an uncle, Donald Harless III and cousins, Marcus and Michael of Beatrice and Martin of Omaha, grandmothers, Terrie Harless of Beatrice and Rose (Chuck) Meierhans of Lincoln NE, grandfathers, Jim (Peggy) Rader of Colorado Springs CO, and Donald Harless Jr. of Spring, TX; great grandmother, Eunice Rader of Rockport MO, many friends that we considered family, and his faithful dog Angus.

Alex is preceded in death by his great-great-grandmother, Margie Hardy and great-grandparents Tom and Phyllis Bear

Funeral services will be held at 11::00 AM on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Harman-Wright Mortuary 623 Elk St in Beatrice with a luncheon afterwards at the 4-H building at the Gage County Fairgrounds.  Public viewing on Wednesday Jan 6 from 12-8 PM with family present to greet visitors from 6-8.

The family requests that guests wear casual attire- preferably Husker, Steeler, Chiefs or Royals gear.
