Terry G. Carver

Terry G. Carver, 75, Beatrice, NE, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Beatrice Good Samaritan Society.  He was born January 28, 1944 in Smith Center, KS to Wardie and Irma (Turner) Carver. Terry graduated from Hastings High School in 1962. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in May of 1965 and served until May of 1967.  He was in the grocery business for over 20 years, a food director for colleges and then in production for Excel. Terry was a member of the Geneva V.F.W. He enjoyed camping, fishing, coin collecting, antique hunting and his grandkids.

Survivors include his children, Christy Saum and husband John of Union, NE, Carmen Manhart and special friend Brett of Omaha, NE and Brian Carver and wife Michelle of Pickrell, NE; 5 grandchildren, Samantha Carver, Grant Carver, Adam Manhart, Aaron Manhart and Gaven Turgeon; brother-in-law, Bill Boesch of Hutchinson, KS; nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wardie and Irma (Turner) Carver; sister, Jean Boesch; and brother, Ivan Carver and wife Dixie.

Memorial Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 9, 2019 at Harman-Wright Mortuary Chapel in Beatrice with John Saum officiating.  Military rites by the Bitting-Norman American Legion Post 27 of Beatrice and the National Guard Honor Guard.  A luncheon and reception will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Geneva V.F.W. Club in Geneva, NE.  Inurnment will be at a later date in the Smith Center Cemetery in Smith Center, KS.
