Teena Beth (Russell) Gordon, 59 years of age, of Lincoln, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 in Lincoln. She was born on July 24, 1958 in Los Angeles, California to Lloyd and Bonnelle (Milliken) Russell. She spent 10 years of her childhood in Wayne. Teena graduated from Elkhorn Valley High School in Tilden in 1976. She received her Associates Degree in Word Processing from Lincoln School of Commerce. Teena was a volunteer for Community Action Partnership where she was on their board for 10 years and served on the Head Start Policy Coucil for 3 years. She enjoyed computer games, being outgoing and social, running support groups online, her companion dog Kipu and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Teena is survived by her son, Walter J. McDowell, III of Lincoln; daughters, Evamarie R. McDowell-Coffin and husband Cheston of Lincoln, Tiffany J. Ward of Toledo, Ohio; grandchildren, Tisa Byng, E. Claire McDowell, Romeo Kiene, Hezekiah McDowell, Kameron Josiah, Adella Coffin, Makenzie Rawe, Hannalise Coffin, Braylon Ward; and brother, Kirk Russell; She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Emmitte “Baby Tony” Anthony; and brother, Kit Russell.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Northern Lighthouse Church, 6131 N 14th, Lincoln, NE 68521. Memorials are suggested to the Community Action Partnership (Lancaster and Saunders County), Voices of Hope, Child Advocacy Center of Lincoln and Cedars Youth Services towards the Bridges Transitional Living Program in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary and Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
