Suzanne "Suzie" I. Pickering

Suzanne “Suzie” I. Pickering, 36 years of age, of Beatrice passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. She was born in Nebraska City on September 19, 1981 to Joseph and Annette (Abernathy) Pickering. Suzie graduated from Beatrice High School in 1999. She was a CNA at several places including BSDC, MOSAIC and Samaritan Springs. Suzie spent the last almost 19 years with the love of her life and fiancé, Tim who loved her more than words can describe. She enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, being outside, drawing, painting, Husker football, Denver Broncos football and especially the time spent with her children. She fought through a lot and as hard as she could. Suzie will be remembered as a great mother and her smile and laugh will be missed by all.

Suzie is survived by her fiancé, Tim McElroy; children, Madison and Landon McElroy; parents, Joseph and Annette Pickering; 2 sisters, Janelle Pickering, all of Beatrice, Lindsay Blood and husband Josh of Norfolk; brother, Brian Pickering and wife Rachel of Crete; grandfather, Don Pickering of Nebraska City; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Don and Doris Abernathy and Marcia Pickering.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, June 1, 2018 at Harman-Wright Mortuary  in Beatrice with Pastor Jack Magness officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Beatrice. Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 8 PM with family greeting friends from 6 to 7 PM Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to family to be used for the children’s’ education. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
